MEET THE owner
Julia DuBois
Owner and instructor Julia DuBois has loved horses for the majority of her life. She attended the University of Kentucky for her Animal Science, B.S. with an emphasis in equine and furthered her studies at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) for her M.S. in Animal Science. Beyond her classroom experience she has had the privilege to work with various trainers and attending clinics around the continental US along with a few overseas opportunities. She has a strong desire to remain in a growth mindset and feels there is always something new to learn. Her biggest values within her program are safety, quality, and friendly environment.

Sarah Maurer
Dressage and eventing trainer, Sarah Maurer, is the owner of Strategy Sport Horses, LLC, and the head coach of the University of Tennessee’s Intercollegiate Dressage Team. Committed to helping riders of all levels harness the principles of classical dressage to improve their skills and connection to their horses across disciplines, Sarah emphasizes the importance of communication, correct biomechanics, and balance in her teaching and riding. A graduate of Houghton University’s equestrian program where she both rode and coached, Sarah is passionate about helping riders and their horses reach their full potential in a positive and supportive environment.
